Mission Statement: “Through volunteerism, we support community humanitarian needs, sight and hearing, and youth services at the local, district, and international levels. We are dedicated to helping and improving the communities we live in "WE SERVE."
How are the Lions Clubs organized? Each local club is an organized entity of Lions Clubs International. The international organization, through its considerable resources, is a great aid in helping each local club define its mission and attain its goals.
When did the Meridian Lions Club begin? The Meridian Lions Club was organized October 5, 1938 by a former District Governor, Lion Rulon Dunn. The club has served Meridian from the time it was a village of 500 to its present status of a rapidly growing city approaching a population of 140,000.
